Good for German, minor app glitch

I used LinguaTV for their Deutsch als Fremdsprache course. The video lessons were very clear and well-produced, and the interactive exercises were helpful for practice. Access was immediate after purchase. I found the web interface easy to navigate. My only minor issue was with the mobile app; sometimes the progress didn't sync instantly between my phone and tablet, which was a bit annoying. But overall, the content quality and learning experience were quite good for the price.

Got a good deal on Spanish

I was looking for a Spanish course and saw they had a discount for new users, which made the 'Spanisch für den Urlaub' course quite affordable. The price was a big factor for me. The content itself seems pretty good for what I paid. I signed up for the annual subscription, so I felt like I got good value for the money. Definitely worth it for the price I snagged.

Business English was good

Just finished up a few modules of the Business English course. It went pretty well. I liked that the videos felt like real work scenarios, not just some dry textbook stuff. It was easy to get around the site and find what I needed. No issues at all, definitely felt like a good way to brush up.

Reliable for language learning

This isn't my first time with LinguaTV. I previously did the Spanisch für Anfänger and came back for the Französisch Sprachkurs. What I appreciate most is the consistency. The video quality is always good, and the exercises are well-structured. It's reliable. I knew what to expect from my previous experience, and they delivered again. I've found their learning method works well for me, especially the practical dialogue videos. It's why I keep coming back when I want to pick up a new language.

Deutsch als Fremdsprache course review

I signed up for the 'Deutsch als Fremdsprache' course last month. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I just picked the subscription and checked out. Delivery of access was instant, which was great. The video content is high quality, much better than some other platforms I've tried. I particularly liked the interactive exercises after each lesson, they really helped solidify the grammar. I had a small question about the mobile app's offline mode, so I used their support chat. The response was quick, within an hour, and they clarified everything. It's a solid platform for learning.

Are there any student discounts available for LinguaTV? I'm still in uni and looking to save some cash.

M Marcus Bennett 2 months ago
I believe they do offer a student discount. You usually have to verify your student status through some portal or send proof.

Yeah, check their site. Most language platforms have student rates. It's usually a pretty decent percentage off, but you'll likely need your student ID or email.

What kind of payment options do they accept? Just credit cards or PayPal too?

B Brett Okafor 1 month ago
They take major credit cards for sure, and I'm pretty sure PayPal is an option too. Most online services offer both.

I paid with my Visa last time, but I've seen PayPal as an option on other German sites so I'd assume LinguaTV has it as well. Pretty standard stuff.

Has anyone used one of those discount codes, like the newsletter one? Where exactly do you put it in when you're checking out?

O Omar 1 month ago
There's usually a box labeled 'voucher code' or 'Gutscheincode' during the checkout process, before you finalize payment. It's pretty standard.

Yep, just look for the voucher field. It's usually on the payment page. Just remember most of them are only for new subscriptions and you can't stack them if you have more than one code, which is a bummer.

Hey, wondering about LinguaTV. How long do you get access to the courses for once you buy a subscription? Is it like forever or just for the subscription period?

C Cleo 1 month ago
It's just for the subscription period, so if you get a year, you have access for a year. It's not a 'buy once, own forever' kind of deal.

M Mia 1 month ago
Yeah, what the first person said. You basically pay for access while your subscription is active. If you let it lapse, you lose access to the course materials. Learned that the hard way lol.

I'm thinking about getting the Business English course, but I already have Babbel. Is LinguaTV actually any better or different for business stuff?

O Omar Y. 2 months ago
LinguaTV definitely focuses more on video content and real-world scenarios, especially for business. Babbel is good for basics but LinguaTV felt more 'professional' for me.

I'd say LinguaTV is more in-depth for specific business language like for meetings or presentations. Babbel feels a bit more general, good for travel but maybe not advanced business convo.
